- I've had a week to reflect on LICIE 2026 at UCL and three days spent thinking about what "inclusive education" actually takes to deliver, not just intend. Professor Nidhi Singal opened with a line that's stayed with me since: inclusive education is messy, and the real question was never "what" works, it's "how." That's stuck with me because it's the harder, less comfortable question. Policies and platforms can point schools in the right direction, but they don't do the work of inclusion themselves, people do, in classrooms, one
- Although the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) Awards took place last week, here are my reflections on the last day of the summer term 🤩 Firstly, congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted -we are all winners👏 What I really want to point out are the highlights of Phillip Hedger, CEO of LEO Academy Trust - I mentioned that I will post about this on LinkedIn - and he answered that he will check for my post 😇. His presentation on digital strategy really aligned with me. He challenged us to think differently
- Monday I had the privilege of closing The Impact Summit 2026, hosted by Younes Henini and the incredible team at Stone Soup Academy. As the headline sponsor, I left feeling really inspired, challenged and reminded why PAGS exists. Every speaker added another piece to the same puzzle. 🫶 It was so good to hear these different perspectives. Younes’s opening speech pointed “ the need to change the narrative around Alternative Provision." Professor Veronica Pickering OBE MBS HAC HM Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire reminded us about
- A bright start to the day in Nottingham. Today we’re at the Stone Soup Academy Soup Academy Impact Summit, surrounded by people who believe every learner deserves the opportunity to thrive. One of my favourite parts of events like these isn’t just demonstrating 😣PAGS , it’s listening. Every conversation with a teacher, SENDCO or school leader helps us understand the challenges schools are facing and how we can continue building solutions that genuinely make a difference. If you’re here today, please come and say hello. #SEND
