Overview
Stuyver worked as a Salesforce consultant with global enterprises before starting PDF Butler, and his customers there needed quotes generated fast during calls and customer visits. He has said the tools available at the time could not meet the speed, data, structure or branding needs of those customers. He built around 14 apps over the previous 20 years without turning any of them into a company, then set a target of generating a document in under one second, a threshold he says 99.95% of documents now meet. The team is fully remote across more than 15 countries and the platform counts about 150,000 users.
Igor Stuyver founded PDF Butler and runs it as CEO. The operating company is Cloudcrossing, registered on 1 June 2017 with enterprise number 0676.494.529 and a registered office at Dahlialaan 1 in Kapellen, Belgium. Stuyver has been recorded as a director of Cloudcrossing since 20 December 2023, the date the entity took the Besloten Vennootschap legal form.

He explains that the company struggled initially to build trust with enterprise customers as a startup, but after proving their reliability over the first two years, customers became convinced of the value of document generation as a core use case within Salesforce.

- Document Extractor - Crazy how a new product can take off. 🚀 📈 I wanted to start slow and get some feedback from the market but seems the market thinks I'm too slow 😁 Some stories to share: 1) This company has a very distributed sales team with plenty of partners and resellers. Quotes are at this moment created in an Excel and we got the challenge to read the Excel and transfer that data into Account, Quote and Quote Lines => Challenge accepted and delivered! 🎉 2) Company in healthcare needs to process thousands of insurance
- Volvo Financial Services is joining us at Dreamforce! Documents are at the heart of almost every business process, yet they’re often left out of the architecture conversation. That can have a real impact on scalability, adoption, and the overall Salesforce experience. Together, we’ll dive into their approach to document automation and share practical insights from the work we’ve done together. Join us on Thursday, September 17, at 12:00–12:40 PM PDT at Metreon AMC, L3, Theatre 10. Speakers: • Luke White, Sales & Operations
