Overview
Joao Martins is a co-founder of zeal-robotics and is based in Madrid. Since May 2026 he has also been Iberia digital solutions sales senior manager at Prysmian.
From June 2023 to April 2026 he worked at Belden Inc., first as a solutions account manager for smart infrastructure solutions and, from October 2024, as senior manager for solution sales covering hospitality and data centres in Europe. He joined Nokia Bell Labs Antwerp in April 2018, where he was account CTO and later account manager for the Orange Spain account until June 2023. Before that he spent seven years at Ericsson, starting in February 2006 as a senior solution architect and end-to-end specialist, then serving as technical director for Maroc Telecom, customer technical leader for Vodafone Spain and, from December 2016, networks CTO on the Vodafone Spain account.
He studied electronics and telecommunication engineering at the Universidade de Aveiro, followed by telecommunications at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, a Cisco CCNA at GALILEU in Porto, and an MBA at EAE Business School.
