Overview
Kim Eyckmans is the founder of virto-solar and is based in Antwerp. Since January 2026 he has also been ICT Manager at SmartSD Benelux, where he had worked in ICT from November 2022 to December 2025.
Before that he spent 2022 as IT Service Manager at Manuchar, following just over five years as ICT Manager at THE BELGIAN NV from November 2016 to January 2022. He was Service Desk Manager at DILEOZ between November 2014 and November 2016, and senior project manager at Userfull from May 2010 to October 2014.
Eyckmans began his career on the ICT helpdesk at BelCompany in June 2003, moving in February 2005 to Hertel, where he worked on the ICT helpdesk before becoming Service Desk Team Leader for Continental Europe in September 2007, a role he held until May 2010.
He studied applied computer science at Karel de Grote-Hogeschool, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2001.
