Overview
Marc Tombroff is a Brussels-based CFD executive who built his career around NUMECA International, the VUB spin-off founded in 1993 by Charles Hirsch. He served as General Manager and Managing Director of NUMECA, scaling the software business to roughly 150 employees with customers in aerospace, energy and maritime sectors. When Cadence Design Systems acquired NUMECA in February 2021, Marc moved into the role of Vice President of R&D at Cadence, leading the integration of the CFD product line into Cadence's System Design and Analysis division.
In autumn 2024 Marc co-founded PrediQT Technologies with Charles Hirsch, Kunal Puri and Luke Peffers, taking the CEO role. The company builds GPU and quantum-native CFD software targeting aerospace, propulsion, energy and weather forecasting markets. He is also Co-founder and Vice President at Nexus Weather and Climate.
His expertise spans aerodynamics, simulations, aerospace engineering, finite element analysis and optimisation.
