Overview
Mario Torres is the CEO of ivex and is based in Quito. Since May 2024 he has worked as a medical equipment field engineer at Ingelab, where he also served as technical coordinator and acting technical manager from March to August 2025 and again from January to March 2026. He has worked as a mechanical engineer under his own name since February 2024. Earlier, he was a mechanical engineer and maintenance trainee at Holiday Inn from May 2023 to February 2024, a mechanical engineer at Terra Device Consulting Company from July 2019 to January 2023, a sports scout at Genius Sports from May 2017 to May 2019, and a volunteer with UQ Racing from July 2016 to July 2017.
Torres completed an MBA at EUDE Business School between February 2024 and February 2025. He obtained a private pilot licence under DGAC Ecuador regulations at AVIACION ESAV in 2022, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical and aerospace engineering from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical and electronics engineering from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE. He completed his secondary education at Colegio Militar Eloy Alfaro in 2011.
