Mathias Vissers

Overview

Mathias Vissers is a co-founder of Fox&Fish Cyberdefense, where he has worked as a cybersecurity evangelist since 2021. He is based in Westerlo and states expertise in cybersecurity, digital marketing, cyber defence, ethical hacking and cybersecurity auditing.

He co-founded Intracto in 2003 and remained until 2005, returning in 2009 as a webdeveloper and then holding roles there as digital strategist, teamlead and strategy director, head of innovation and new technology, and marketing manager, the last of these until May 2025. He also ran Plantiful.be from 2017 to 2019 and was self-employed in a secondary activity at Punt Uit! from 2010 to 2025. Earlier he founded and ran Westelworld.be from 2003 to 2007, worked at SMSCommerce / Webcommerce as a developer, analyst and team leader, was a junior programmer at Boondoggle, and was a trainee software developer at Mondelēz International. From 1995 to 2003 he was part of the webteam at KVC Westerlo.

He studied applied informatics at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and business communication at Hoger Instituut der Kempen, trained as a chocolatier at Hoger Instituut Kempen, and completed a marketing leadership masterclass at Vlerick Business School.
