Maximilian Dunker is a co-founder of Aortex, where he has served as co-founder and chief technology officer since December 2025. He is based in Germany.
Before that he was a project manager at Vibracoustic from May 2022 to December 2025. He worked at the Lehrstuhl für Thermodynamik mobiler Energiewandlungssysteme, RWTH Aachen University, as a research assistant from October 2019 to September 2021, completing his master's thesis there between April and September 2021. Earlier positions included a bachelor's thesis at FEV Europe GmbH in 2019, an internship at BMW Group from November 2018 to February 2019, a project thesis at Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) - RWTH Aachen University in 2018, a student research assistantship at the Aachener Zentrum für integrativen Leichtbau (AZL) from February to October 2018, and an internship at Premium AEROTEC in 2015.
He studied at RWTH Aachen University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 and a Master of Science in Maschinenbau Fahrzeugtechnik und Transport in October 2021. He took his Abitur at the Altes Gymnasium Oldenburg in 2014.

- Sometimes the most important contact isn't on stage, but sitting next to you at breakfast. 🥐 That was my biggest takeaway from my first HLTH Europe in #Amstedam this week.
