- If AI could save you five hours of work every week, what would you spend that time on? A few weeks ago, I attended a session on the social impact of AI, organised by The Shift vzw/asbl and Vlerick Business School in Brussels. It made me look at AI transformation projects a little differently. We usually approach these projects from a practical angle: Where can we save time? What can we automate? Which processes can we improve? All important questions. But efficiency alone doesn’t tell us whether a transformation is successful. What
- Whatever you do in life, find yourself a mentor! "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together"
- A strong mission does not make an organisation future-proof. Funding is becoming less predictable. Organisations are being asked to do more with limited resources. Reporting requirements are increasing. And technology is changing what is possible. For us, it comes down to one question: What must NGOs start doing today to ensure they can still fulfil their mission in 2036? That is exactly the question we’ll explore on November 24th at NGO of the Future, an event we’re organising together with Impact Hub Antwerp at Plein Publiek in
- 372 people registered. Tomorrow I spend two hours with Romanian nonprofits, hosted by AmpliFY ONG in collaboration with Orange Foundation. A Theory of Change rarely fails on paper. In English. Register and you get the recording either way. 👉 https://lnkd.in/ecFwzc5D
- Impact measurement gets messy when outcomes, programs and funding live in separate systems. That’s why, on September 30, I’m back with Airtable for a nonprofit builder session on impact measurement. We’ll build a practical system that connects outcomes, programs, indicators and evidence in one place, so your Theory of Change becomes something your team actually uses. In July, nearly 100 nonprofit builders joined our session on donor reporting. This time, we’re applying the same hands on approach to impact measurement. If you
- Lean is one of those concepts/buzzwords I’ve known about for years without ever really understanding it. Lean six sigma, agile, scrum, kaizen etc., I’ve heard all of them, used some of them, and probably nodded along knowingly more than once. But after spending a full day learning about Lean, I realised I had only really understood a small part of it.. On paper, Lean sounds simple: create as much value as possible for all stakeholders (incl. society!), while continuously improving how the work gets done. And, importantly,
