Overview
Stefan Ruyters is a co-founder of Gemsotec, where he has worked in innovation and technology since July 2017. He is based in Bonheiden. Since June 2016 he has also been project manager for SuperBIO at Flanders Biobased Valley, having previously worked as a bio-innovation agent at Ghent Bio-economy Valley from January 2015 to May 2016.
Before that he held a series of research posts. He was a PhD researcher in environmental sciences at KU Leuven from October 2006 to December 2010, then continued there as a research associate and in postdoctoral positions until December 2014, with a period as a post-doctoral researcher at Lessius Hogeschool between May 2012 and September 2013. He completed a master's degree in environmental sciences at KU Leuven, studying there from 2001 to 2006.

- Austen, we do not have a problem 😀 Tijdens een storm zoals vrijdag vermenigvuldigt de activiteit op onze systemen drastisch op korte tijd. Honderden interventies tegelijk, een groot aantal voertuigen op de baan die getracked worden. Voor een missie-kritische applicatie als INA is het belangrijk dat zijn systemen zonder problemen kunnen opschalen. Onderstaande grafiek toont deze piekbelasting. Ondertussen werden alle interventies afgehandeld, good job!

- At the ESA premises in Italy to defend the results of the SmartConnect project 🚀 Our role was to bring space tec in the hands of first responders and get them familiar with the capabilities. It is important to sustain these efforts to make sure it gets into operations
- We had the opportunity to organize the final demonstration of the ESA SmartConnect project in Belgium! We simulated a building fire at Campus Vesta, the training ground for firefighters in the province of Antwerp. The goal of the project is to put space tec in the hands of firefighters by integrating it into their operations and systems. That's exactly what we did in this demo through our INA platform! During a complex intervention large amounts of information are available. But it is important to really make use of the

- Vandaag en de komende dagen staan we op het brandweercongres van Brandweervereniging Vlaanderen op de site van West-Vlaams Opleidingscentrum voor Brandweer, Reddings- en Ambulancediensten. Er is ook een delegatie van Portugal aanwezig voor ervaringsuitwisselingen omtrent het bestrijden van natuurbranden, via Sam Van den Broeck 👍 Dank aan Hans Clarysse en collega's voor de organisatie!
- Vandaag staan we op Transport & Logistics in Flanders Expo. GoRound voor Asset management, 5S audits en rondgangen in magazijnen!
- Morgen staan we op de Transportbeurs tijdens LogiLaunch. Technologiepartners van het VIL Flanders Innovation Cluster for Logistics, zoals wij, presenteren er hun oplossingen. Je zal daar ons GoRound platform, geconfigureerd specifiek voor de logistieke sector, zelf kunnen uitproberen.
