Overview
Vanessa Yuan is co-founder and creative director of ecoBirdy, a role she has held since 2016. She is based in Antwerp, and states expertise in creativity and innovation, project management, sustainable design and creative direction. Since 2008 she has also been a co-founder of VYDC.
Yuan completed a master's degree in industrial and product design at Domus Academy between 2004 and 2005. She worked as a designer at Studio Ito Design from 2006 to 2008, and from 2009 to 2014 was a freelance senior project coordinator for New Crazy Colors srl.
She has served as a jury member for the University of Antwerp in 2023, for Flanders DC in May 2023, for the Henry van de Velde Awards 24 from November 2023 to January 2024, and for HOGENT in June 2024.
