- Vincent Theeten and I pitched at Deloitte Rising Star yesterday. I really liked the challenge: no slides, 2 minutes, a jury in a line in front of us. Good exercise. Pitch something you know inside out, down to details you'd normally only discuss with people from the staffing industry. Here's what we told them: The world as we know it is changing rapidly because of AI. Every bit of knowledge work is getting automated, yet every job related to manual labour stays vitally important. 80% of the world's workforce works with their
- WE RAISED €1,5M. WE. DID. THAT. (YES THIS DESERVES ALL CAPS) 1,5 miljoen euro opgehaald in onze allereerste fundingsronde ooit, insane.
- WE. DID. THAT. (YES THIS DESERVES ALL CAPS) 1,5 miljoen euro opgehaald in onze allereerste fundingsronde ooit, insane. And even better: chances are this money is about to fix a problem you have right now.
- If you're like me and you catch yourself telling AI to "just make it simpler" and it keeps answering in long riddles, try this instead. I hit this constantly, and it's gotten worse as the models got smarter. Somewhere around Opus 4.6 and up, the answers turned dense and a little too clever. 🤷♂️ So I ask a simple technical question, get back something super dense and I have to read it three times, and type "dumb it down" again. It still doesn't land. Turns out there's a better instruction than "be simpler." Two, actually, and both
- Loved sharing how we're building Ringtime as an Al-native startup at the NewSchool.vc event-because the real leverage comes when every function, not just engineering, becomes agentic.
- A customer signs. We type one sentence to Ringtime OS: “STAFFICE just signed. Let’s proceed.” What happens next used to be a week of small, tedious, skippable work. Moving the deal in HubSpot. Reading the signed contract for numbers nobody wants to retype. Finding a kickoff slot across five calendars. Now Ringtime OS does it. The interesting part isn’t the automation. It’s that Ringtime OS keeps asking if we are still following our own process. Humans skip the boring steps. We always have. It doesn’t, and nudges us back when we do.
- Every scaling team I've seen hits the same ceiling with Notion. Ringtime included. You start clean. A couple of months in you're at 50 pages and already behind. Half are stale. Search doesn't find what you know is there. "Where's our ICP?" gets three different links in Slack. Notion AI helps... until the bill arrives. So we tried something different. Nobody at Ringtime writes in our knowledge base anymore. We feed Claude whatever we have: a Granola transcript, a Willow dictation, a forwarded ema
