🚀 From Love Tomorrow to Tomorrow’s healthcare! We were honored to be selected by Start it Accelerate | @KBC as one of its 17 “Start-ups of Tomorrow, each representing one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. BIO INX was chosen to represent SDG 15: Life on Land, reflecting our ambition to advance healthcare by enabling 3D printing of cells and tissues while contributing to more reliable, animal-free research. On the Elixir Stage at the beautiful Love Tomorrow Summit in Boom, we had three minutes to pitch our vision: using advanced biomaterials and 3D bioprinting to help create living tissues for regenerative medicine, personalized healthcare and animal-free testing. It was equally inspiring to discover the missions of the other selected start-ups, including fellow materials innovators: 🌱 Virenti, developing renewable printed circuit boards 🌾 BIOFIBIX, transforming Flemish flax fibres into high-performance alternatives to carbon fibre 🍄 Compack, turning mushroom waste into renewable packaging—for mushrooms! Seeing festival grounds usually bouncing with electronic music transformed into a vibrant hub for technology, entrepreneurship and impact made this a truly unique business festival.
