For three decades, hotel analytics and hotel operations have lived in parallel universes.
Revenue management has pickup reports, segmentation, displacement, comp set indices. Sophisticated, defensible, and almost entirely invisible to the people running the hotel day to day.
Operations has its own world too. Shift handovers, arrival lists, housekeeping boards. Tactical, immediate, and disconnected from whatever the BI tool is saying upstairs.
The dashboard never made it to the floor and the floor never made it back into the dashboard. This is a clear translation failure, exactly what this generation of AI is good at.
"A housekeeping supervisor doesn't need a pickup curve. He needs tomorrow's arrivals are skewing 40% later than usual, stagger your team after 2pm."
