𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹'𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘀-𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁? Dress codes. Disciplinary practices. Canteen policies. Student councils. Most were written with good intentions — few were ever tested against the rights children are legally entitled to. Not out of bad will, but because schools have never had a practical compass for it. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴, we present the first of three FutureEd guides: 𝙖 𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨-𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, developed by our Luxembourg partner ALLI asbl — experts working at the intersection of law, ethics and education. 🇱🇺 🇧🇪 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀: ✔ The legal architecture of children's rights in education — from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to European frameworks — translated into classroom reality ✔ The questions every school should be able to answer: where does a child's right to participation begin? What does dignity require in practice? ✔ A self-assessment lens for auditing school policies BEFORE conflicts arise — not after When we asked teenagers about rights at school this summer, they described rules that felt "half targeted" and councils that exist "for show."
