𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗗𝗣𝗥 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱. Children go online earlier every year — but the vocabulary to understand their digital rights arrives much, much later, if ever. We decided to close that gap with a heroine: Zara, a girl who discovers a glowing digital realm full of wonders and dangers, and learns — adventure by adventure — that she has rights there too. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗴: the third and final FutureEd guide of the month, our 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 "𝗭𝗮𝗿𝗮 & 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗺." What makes it different: ✔ It gives children and adults a shared vocabulary: personal data, consent, privacy, protection vs. surveillance ✔ It grew from co-creation — educators, parents and children shaped the improved version arriving this August ✔ It works everywhere: classrooms, libraries, living rooms — ready-to-use lessons for teachers, conversation starters for parents When we asked teenagers this summer about digital rights, they told us about monitored screens and school platforms reading their messages. They're finding the words late.
