Finland roundwood purchases fall 19%
January-July purchasing stayed well below last year as pulpwood prices retreated.
Roundwood purchases from Finland’s non-industrial private forests were 19% lower year-on-year in January-July 2026.
Pulpwood standing-sale prices continued to fall in July, with spruce, pine and birch pulpwood all down from June.
For the Finnish forest sector, the data shows weaker purchasing activity and a sharp correction from last year’s pulpwood price peak.
