Canadian wood producer prices rise again
Lumber and other wood-product producer prices extended a seven-month climb in July.
Canadian producer prices for lumber and other wood products rose 3.2% month-on-month in July 2026.
The wood group was also 7.6% higher than a year earlier, outpacing its recent June increase. The broader industrial product price index rose more slowly on a monthly basis.
For Canadian sawmills and buyers, this points to continued factory-gate price pressure after months of gains.
