TLDR

Christophe Rousseaux is the founder of Immoweb and the founder and managing partner of Akiles, a Brussels-based evergreen investment fund supporting Belgian growth-stage companies.

Background

Christophe Rousseaux founded Immoweb in 1996, building it into Belgium's dominant online real estate Marketplace. In 2012, Axel Springer Digital Classifieds acquired an 80 percent stake in the company at around USD 163 million, in one of the most notable Belgian proptech exits.

After the Immoweb exit, Christophe set up Akiles in 2019 as an evergreen vehicle focused on growth capital for Belgian SMEs. The fund typically invests as a minority shareholder, with tickets up to around EUR 5 million. Recent transactions include a 50 percent investment in Zidis alongside founder Yannick De Wael in April 2026, and growth support for Loop Earplugs. He works closely with Laurent Puissant Baeyens at Akiles.
