Overview

Founded by Yannick De Wael in 2005, Zidis builds explainer videos, corporate films, recruitment videos, animations, podcasts, and aftermovies for Belgian organisations, with a clear in-house production model and recurring client relationships. The headoffice and main studios are at Ellermanstraat 54 in Antwerp, with additional studios in Zulte (East and West Flanders) and Mechelen for the Brussels region.

Zidis ranked 68th in the Trends Gazellen 2026 list for the Antwerp region, recognising sustained growth and team expansion. In April 2026, Brussels-based investor Akiles, led by Christophe Rousseaux (founder of Immoweb), took a 50 percent stake in Zidis. Akiles and Yannick De Wael together committed EUR 7 million to a new vehicle named Zidis United, intended to fund expansion into the Netherlands and Luxembourg, additional talent and AI investment, and selective acquisitions in the audiovisual content space.

Zidis sits in the Belgian creative production cluster, with a buy-and-build trajectory now backed by an evergreen growth fund. Yannick De Wael continues as CEO under the new ownership structure.
