- At the 12th India Supply Chain Thought Leadership Summit today, our co-founder and CEO, Chinmay, made a point about ROI that's easy to miss: for AI in supply chain, it's not really about return on tokens invested. It's about reducing the time it takes to make the right decision. He gave a good example of why. Supply chain heads split into two types — the ones stuck on the 3% that's red, trying to close that last gap, and the ones sitting at 97% green who already know the few things that keep them there and don't waste time
- Looking forward to connecting with supply chain leaders at the 12th India Supply Chain Thought Leadership Summit (ISCTLS) on Sept 10 at The Lalit, Mumbai. We'll be showcasing the Decision Execution Platform for supply chain planning, built to show planners the highest-impact, highest-risk items to act on today, cutting the delay between insight and action. Our CEO, Chinmay, will be sharing his thoughts during the AI and Autonomous Supply Chains panel at 9:15 AM. If you're looking for a modern, AI-native advanced planning and
- Same data. Two different "accuracy" scores: 33.5% and 11.9%. Which one is right? It depends on which formula you use and what decision the number needs to drive. MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) treats every SKU equally, so a 66% error on a 30-unit SKU counts the same as a 5% error on a 1,000-unit SKU. Run the same three SKUs through WMAPE, which weights by volume, and the number drops from 33.5% to 11.9%. The high-volume SKU's forecast landed close to actual, so it now dominates the average. Four formulas, four different jobs:
- How much excess inventory is your forecast creating? We built a Forecast Assessment to show you exactly that. Send your sales history and current forecast, exactly as you already track it, Excel is fine. We run it through statistical, ML, and models built for sparse and volatile demand, and pick the best fit for each SKU, customer, and location. What you get back: - Accuracy broken down by SKU, customer, region, and forecast horizon, not one blended number - Systematic over- or under-forecasting, and exactly where it's happening -
- Without AI, planners spend 60-70% of their time on routine forecast generation and review. With AI implemented well, that flips: 60-70% goes to exceptions, overlays, and reconciliation, the work where judgment matters. Not every "AI" feature makes that flip happen. Five capabilities account for almost all of the real impact: - Automatic model selection per SKU is the safest bet here. No one can match a model like Holt-Winters, ARIMA, or gradient-boosted trees to the right SKU by hand across a 5,000-SKU portfolio, so the system

- More than 2 years ago, Horizon Solutions was just two people and an idea that several people told us was too hard to build unless we had a company with hundreds of people. I'll spare everyone all the details for now, but with the necessary ups and downs, we are now serving 130 planners across customers in 9 countries, in 7 different industries, with 6 different modules, with a team of 19 and roughly €4B in revenue planned on the platform. Is this what I had hoped? No, actually, but that probably only proves that I have to work more
