Overview
Lucas co-founded Polysense with Jarne Bogaert. He leads the technical development of the sensing platform, combining hardware engineering with software and data capabilities. Before Polysense, Lucas led autonomous driving at UGent Racing and studied AI at Ghent University.
As CTO, Lucas drives the product architecture and engineering at Polysense, developing the sensor systems and AI models underpinning the company's food quality solutions.

- A lot of people think Polysense is all about potatoes. Fair enough, we've looked at a lot of them 🍟 But this time it's eclairs 🥖. At Poppies Bakeries in Zonnebeke, we measure every eclair for length, width, height and colour as it leaves the oven. What makes our system cool is our synthetic data, we go live on a new line fast. And when eclairs come out bigger, smaller or darker, or there's buildup on the line, the models have seen it before and keep measuring correctly. But we don't stop at checking eclairs.
