Overview
Mike Ptacek is a co-founder and chief creative officer of PLAY IT Game based learning, a role he has held since February 2017. He is based in Kortrijk.
Between October 2012 and June 2017 he was creative director and game designer at DAE Studios NV, overlapping with a period as senior lecturer in game production at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, which ran from September 2007 to February 2017. Earlier he worked as a game artist at Playlogic Game Factory from April 2002 to August 2007, and as a 3D artist at Imagination in Motion from June 2001 to March 2002.
He studied computer programming at Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven, completing a bachelor's degree between 1997 and 2002, and later took a Master in Game Production at Högskolan på Gotland from 2008 to 2012.
