Overview
Ruben Verhack is a co-founder of datameister, based in Gent. He founded Datameister in June 2023, and has worked as an independent consultant at DM-OG since October 2020.
Before that he was a senior AI engineer at Oqton, Inc from July 2021 to May 2023, and chief data scientist at journy.io between August 2020 and June 2021. From May 2019 to July 2021 he was a co-founder of Hyperfusion.ai, where he worked as a medical AI vision expert. Earlier he was self-employed at Ninetynine from 2008 to 2012, and co-founded TeeShed in 2007. He was event manager and later co-curator at TEDxGhent between 2014 and 2016.
Verhack completed a double PhD in computer engineering at Technische Universität Berlin and Ghent University, running from October 2012 to May 2020, and was a researcher at Technische Universität Berlin in late 2012. He holds a master's degree in computer science from Technische Universität Berlin, a master in computer science and software engineering and a bachelor in information technology from Ghent University, and attended secondary school at Klein Seminarie Roeselare.
