Overview
Silas Rydant is Managing Director of Pharmanology, a role he took up in April 2023, and is based in Dendermonde. He also leads a team at Meduplace, where he has been responsible for pharmacy practice research and for interprofessional collaboration since January 2016, and he has been an academic researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel since April 2020. Under his own name he has worked as a community pharmacist, project coordinator for pharmacy practice and scientific researcher in pharmacy practice since September 2010.
Between February 2021 and February 2023 he was an academic researcher at the University of Antwerp, and from December 2019 to September 2021 he was a lector in BMLT at Erasmushogeschool Brussel. He served on the boards of Farma vzw from 2018 to 2023, KAVA from 2016 to 2020 and iPACT, the International Pharmacists on Anticoagulation Care Taskforce, from 2014 to 2017.
Rydant studied pharmaceutical sciences at Ghent University, completing a master's degree in 2010, after secondary education in Latin and mathematics at the Heilige Maagdcollege Dendermonde.
