Overview
Tim Coppieters is a software engineer based in Brugge and co-founder of Koalify, which he started in February 2024. From November 2016 until June 2024 he was lead software architect at NOWJOBS.
Earlier, he was a PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel from September 2014 to January 2017, having studied there as a student from September 2009 to July 2014. He held research internships at Microsoft in the summer of 2014 and again from June to September 2016. In June 2013 he co-founded Instadeal BVBA, where he remained until June 2014, and between 2010 and 2011 he worked as a network administrator at Infogroep.
He completed a Master of Science in Applied Sciences and Engineering in computer science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2009 to 2013, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in agro- and biotechnology at Hogeschool Odisee from 2017 to 2020. He attended Sint-Lodewijkscollege from 2003 to 2009.
