We’re excited to welcome ZuriQ to the Quantonation portfolio.
Today, Quantonation is announcing that it has led ZuriQ’s $25.5 million seed round, backing a team taking a fundamentally different approach to trapped-ion #QuantumComputing.
The #quantum race will be won by the technology and architecture that can scale to millions of qubits. This is what makes ZuriQ so compelling.
While most trapped-ion quantum computers still follow architectural principles established decades ago, ZuriQ is building a natively two-dimensional architecture that removes many of the constraints that make scaling so difficult.
In fewer than 18 months, the team has already demonstrated the largest two-dimensional trapped-ion array of its kind, fabricated chips with Infineon using industrial processes, and assembled an exceptional team from across the global quantum ecosystem.
