Google selfie video ships with a quiet opt-in to AI training
Google has rolled out selfie video for account recovery. Useful on its own. The catch is what sits alongside it: a separate prompt asking users to let Google feed biometric data into its facial recognition and age-estimation models.
Two features, one screen, very different consequences. Account recovery is a security tool. Training facial recognition on your face is something else entirely. Read the opt-in prompts carefully before you tap agree.
