- Landed in Boston for UNBOUND by HubSpot LFG! 🎉 New year, and back at this event! Some of my predictions for this year: - HubSpot announces at least one acquisition - HubSpot drops a Breeze Agent update, or goes even deeper with Claude - introw.io takes home "most colorful booth" - Supered throws the biggest party of the week - I finally win the $1,000 Koalify 🐨 prize - 20-30 tipsy Revenue Leaders, fueled by Belgian beers (only a few spots left, FYI, see link in comment) - "AI" gets said on stage more times than software, Hubspot
- My favorite event of the year is coming up, Hubspot UNBOUND next week! Quick throwback to my first day last year with Hendrik Keeris . This time I'm stoked to be there with Tom De Kooning and Andres De Jonge . And we're going bigger this year: organising a proper Belgian beer tasting for revenue leaders. A brewery, a selected group of revenue leaders, talking recenue, sales performance and GTM while having a good laugh and some beers. What else do you need in life? ;) Definitely sign up via our Luma, places are limited! (link in
- You keep on hearing, "posting regularly on LinkedIn is important!" A lot of my friends were laughing when I saw them; claiming I was becoming some sort of influencer 😅 Making good & engaging LinkedIn posts is harder than you think when starting with it. Over time, the importance of posting starts to fade. It's a lot of work, and sometimes you start wondering why? Until last weekend. I was at a wedding with my girlfriend where I didn't know anyone. I got some conversations going with people I never saw or spoke. Weird thing
- One week after Sales Comp Summit in Boston, I had a BLAST 🙌 Some key learnings that stuck with me: -Quota attainment for sales reps is falling even further, while attainment among top performers keeps growing. The gap keeps widening. -A lot of folks still use spreadsheets for sales comp, even with a few hundred sellers. (Yes, they hate it.) 📊 -Large organizations are moving off homegrown comp systems onto dedicated SPM tools more than ever, and getting locked into long implementation cycles with consultants along the way.
- Boston here I come! Flying to the US this morning for the WorldatWork sales comp summit in the center of Boston. Stoked for good conversations on what actually drives sales performance: Strategy, incentives, compensation, analytics, culture, leadership… All of it! If you're in Boston this week, hit me up for a coffee or a fresh beer. Let's talk
- This was me in Italy last week, running back to the house... why? A Slack ping: demo booked, this afternoon. Huge company. +Nine figures in revenue. 150+ reps. Wants a demo from Driven in 3 hours. The team was ready to take it, but my excitement was even higher. So I said, I'm on it. Prepped the deck and dug into the prospect: Who are they? Who do they report to? How'd they find us? What triggered them to book? What was their journey? How do they compensate their sales team? And crucially, what problems can we solve for them? Meeting
- 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞? An investor told me "Driven won't be relevant once AI does all the selling." Got me thinking for a while, seeing how fast this stuff is moving. Then I reminded him: humans sell to humans. In the age of AI, where everything is crowded, the manual, stupid shit goes first. Cold sequences, chasing follow-ups, scheduling back and forth. Good riddance. That was never really selling. Will the sales job change? Yes. Will SDRs and BDRs disappear? probably (tbh I hope so). Will the
- Last night, our Belgian Red Devils won against the USA 4-1. To all our American friends, partners, and customers, I'm sorry we're the ones to kick you out... it was a good game! Now I need to apologize to someone else... @Rudi Garcia, just like in sales, results never lie. I was not your biggest fan as a coach, but man, I love your results... So there we go, like a lot of other Belgians: sorry, RudI. I trust you to take our boys even further. Now let's enjoy this win and destroy Spain on Friday!
