Wout Lagae is co-founder and CEO of Pleevi, a VITO spinoff building AI-optimized workplace EV charging solutions, founded in 2024.
Wout Lagae is the co-founder and CEO of Pleevi, a company he started in February 2024. He is based in Mol. Since November 2019 he has also been the founder and chairman of API Community Belgium.
Before Pleevi, Lagae worked at Showpad, where he joined as a senior business analyst on the platform team in January 2022 and became product manager for developer experience in August 2022, a role he held until January 2024. From November 2019 to January 2022 he was senior product manager for APIs and integrations at Brussels Airport Company. He began his career at BNP Paribas Fortis in November 2016 as a digital management trainee, concurrently with a digital traineeship at ORMIT Belgium, before working as a business analyst and then product owner on API@Scale until October 2019. Earlier he completed internships at the Robotics Research Group at KU Leuven and at SoundTalks.
Lagae studied electrical and mechanical engineering at KU Leuven, spent a year at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and took a master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics and robotics at KU Leuven in 2016.
