A bus driver found it. That detail from Leipzig has stayed with me all week — an armed drone on the tarmac of a NATO airlift hub, discovered roughly four hours after it landed, by someone who stepped on it.
We will now spend heavily on sensors, and we should. But the IISS was blunt about where the campaign actually succeeded: in the gap between what militaries could technically do and what governments were prepared to authorise.
You cannot buy that gap closed. You have to design the decision layer. Curious how others read it.
