One of the pains that caused me to start creating Brigid was the total uselessness of yearly evaluations. The clue is, it's not the evaluation itself that makes it useless. There's a great deal of potential in it. But when you don't do anything with that potential, your employees will start hating and maybe even fearing them. Because in the end, they just become a reason to not get their raise or worse.
What we try to accomplish with Brigid is to guide both the employer and employee in where growth is actually feasable, and what this growth can lead to in the company in terms of possible future growth or promotions. That way it becomes clear to everybody where to go.
