Founded in 2013 by Nicolas Deruytter and Michael Lemmer in Ghent, ML6 operates as a strategic AI engineering partner for enterprises across manufacturing, financial services, retail, healthcare, and government. The firm takes companies from AI experimentation to production, covering data engineering, model development, deployment, and MLOps, with strong specialization in Google Cloud infrastructure.
In 2024, ML6 became an OpenAI Services Partner, broadening its capabilities into enterprise generative AI engineering beyond its cloud-native foundations. It has been recognized in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and the Financial Times FT1000 list of Europe's fastest-growing companies, reflecting consistent commercial momentum.
ML6 employs around 136 people across offices in Ghent, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Munich. The firm has become one of Belgium's strongest AI talent pipelines, with alumni having founded a notable cluster of Belgian AI startups including Paperbox, Uman.ai, Adomate, Leadriver, Powernaut, Scope AI, and others.

- One engineer, one 40-hour week, and a voice receptionist that already outperforms the version we spent months building. Our ML engineer Ryan Ott rebuilt our internal receptionist on ElevenLabs' ElevenAgents platform. He had a working agent on day one. The platform then analyzed 39 test calls and suggested the same fixes we would have made ourselves, so we ran over 30 iterations in five days. - The very first AI Salon Eindhoven brought together 116 people building and applying AI. We were glad to be part of it. On 22 October, Martijn van Heezik, Cristóbal Sendín, Thomas ten Hacken and Ansar Bajwa represented ML6 at our booth, meeting researchers, startups, tech leaders and investors from across the Brainport AI community. - Club Brugge is building its own AI operating system, and ML6 is proud to help. Instead of a separate AI tool for each department, the Club Brugge OS brings all of the club's AI applications into one system, on and off the pitch. Data from different teams gets connected, so an insight in one team can support a decision in another. People stay in charge and staff decide, task by task, what AI takes on. - Our website is now available in German! Its very first German article takes the BSI's C3A sovereignty criteria, written for cloud services, and applies them to AI infrastructure layer by layer.
