Au départ, il a surtout appris aux côtés d’un senior data architect fort de plusieurs années d’expérience : modélisation de données, requêtes SQL, analyse de données et gestion de la cohérence entre différentes applications. Au cours des trois dernières années, son rôle a évolué progressivement. Il a pris davantage de responsabilités autour des standards, de la data quality et de la collaboration entre différentes équipes et systèmes. Son titre n’a peut-être pas changé immédiatement. Le contenu de son travail, lui, a clairement évolué. Et c’est peut-être là que se situe le malentendu. Beaucoup de professionnels IT associent encore “l’apprentissage” aux environnements tech les plus tendances. In het begin leerde hij vooral van een senior data architect met jaren ervaring: datamodellering, SQL-query’s, data-analyse en het bewaken van consistentie tussen verschillende applicaties. De afgelopen drie jaar groeide zijn rol stap voor stap verder. Hij kreeg extra verantwoordelijkheden rond standaarden, data quality en samenwerking tussen verschillende teams en systemen. Zijn functietitel veranderde misschien niet meteen. De inhoud van zijn job des te meer. En misschien zit net daar de denkfout. Veel IT’ers associëren “bijleren” vooral met hippe techomgevingen. Terwijl je soms net het meest groeit in organisaties die volop digitaliseren, waar systemen op nationale schaal draaien en technische keuzes impact hebben op lange termijn. After starting his career in PLC maintenance, he transitioned to a traditional IT role, but also oversaw multiple OT-IT integration projects. Pour y arriver on cherche un co-founder qui prendra le lead sur le Sales & Business Development. Concrètement, il faudra convaincre les propriétaires de rejoindre notre label, négocier et signer les contrats, construire et animer une équipe commerciale et imaginer de nouveaux revenus avec des marques et partenaires autour de notre guide et de nos événements. On cherche un ou une entrepreneure qui a déjà fait ses preuves dans la vente, idéalement dans le travel, le luxe ou une startup digitale. Capable de réfléchir à une stratégie commerciale le matin et de décrocher son téléphone pour conclure une vente l'après-midi. Intussen ben ik een vaste waarde binnen het team geworden! Mijn officiële titel? Customer Operations Coördinator. Maar eigenlijk mag je mij gerust de duizendpoot van DeskDrive noemen. 😉 Van facturatie en sales tot marketingopvolging en het eerste aanspreekpunt voor onze klanten: ik zorg ervoor dat alles achter de schermen én aan de voorkant vlot blijft lopen. Wat ik zo fijn vind aan werken bij DeskDrive? Absoluut de familiale sfeer! We kennen elkaar, helpen elkaar en staan dicht bij onze klanten. En dat is ook precies hoe ik graag werk. Voor mij is elke klant meer dan zomaar een nummer. Ik vind het belangrijk om iedereen persoonlijk, met een glimlach en met de nodige aandacht verder te helpen. ❤️ En wie ben ik buiten DeskDrive? Welcome to Deontic, Vigneshwar! 🚀 We’re excited to welcome Vignesh as our new AI Systems Engineer, strengthening our engineering team as we accelerate our mission of Building the Backbone for End2End Physical AI Validation. Vignesh joins us with a strong background in Generative AI, multimodal foundation models, and simulation-based validation for autonomous driving. During his Master’s thesis at CARIAD, titled “From Fleet Data to Simulation: Automated Scenario Generation using Foundation Models,” he developed an end-to-end pipeline transforming multimodal fleet data into simulation-ready scenarios. His research combined Vision-Language Models (VLMs), agentic AI workflows, automated scenario extraction, and intelligent dataset curation to support safety-critical ADAS and autonomous driving validation. At Deontic, Vignesh will help us advance our agentic AI architecture, deterministic scenario generation, and physics-based validation capabilities, bridging cutting-edge AI research with robust, production-ready engineering. He will also contribute to integrating regulatory standards into our AI workflows, strengthening our platform, and translating research breakthroughs into tangible value for customers. From real-world fleet data to simulation-ready scenarios, and from requirements to continuous validation, Vignesh brings expertise that aligns perfectly with where we're heading. Recruitment is a people business. Recruitment agencies are businesses. Stop confusing the two. I keep hearing the same argument: “Recruitment will always be about people. AI can't replace relationships, trust or human judgement.” I agree. But I think we're having the wrong conversation. I've spent most of my career building recruitment businesses. And here's something I learned along the way. Recruiters spend an extraordinary amount of time NOT recruiting. Researching companies. Finding candidates. Updating databases. Preparing outreach. Chasing information. Managing processes. Switching between tools. We hired people to do all of that because, historically, there was no alternative. Now there is. And that changes the economics of running a recruitment agency. For decades, growth has largely meant hiring more recruiters, adding more managers, buying more tools and increasing overhead. AI challenges that model. Not because relationships no longer matter. But because the amount of human effort required to generate a placement is about to change dramatically. The question is no longer how many recruiters you need to grow your business. It's how much business your existing team can generate when most of the operational work is no longer theirs to do. That's a very different way of thinking about recruitment. And frankly, I believe the agencies that understand this will have a structural advantage over those that don't. Higher revenue per recruiter. Lower cost per placement. Better margins. More capacity to grow. This is one of the reasons we started building a whole new platform. Not to build another tool that makes recruiters 10% more efficient. But to challenge the operating model we've all accepted for decades. Recruitment will remain a people business. But the most successful recruitment agencies won't necessarily be the ones employing the most people. I'm curious how many agency founders are already rethinking their business around that reality.
